Planned Giving

Help of Ojai Planned Giving

Thank you for considering giving
a planned gift to HELP of Ojai.

We value each and every gift to HELP of Ojai. We also believe that there are donors whose participation merits additional recognition - donors who "lend a helping hand" by making planned gifts. We are very pleased to introduce a new recognition society to honor those dedicated members of the HELP of Ojai community who make planned gifts.

HELP of Ojai’s Legacy Society is an honorary association of individuals whose planned gifts have already been received or will someday accrue to the HELP of Ojai. Planned gifts include bequests made through wills, retirement plans and revocable trusts; as well as lifetime gifts that provide income payments to donors and their beneficiaries.

Life income gifts such as charitable gift annuities and charitable remainder trusts typically involve present-day transfers of gift assets, immediate tax advantages and continuing income streams to the donor, with future distributions to HELP of Ojai for its various or specific charitable purposes. Charitable lead trusts can offer significant tax advantages to the donor and reliable streams of charitable income to HELP of Ojai.

Careful gift planning offers each individual the opportunity to make an endowed gift that will continue helping HELP of Ojai for generations to come. Regardless of the method or the amount of the gift planning arrangement, we are deeply grateful to each and every member of the Legacy Society and especially appreciative of their thoughtful commitment to the future financial well-being of HELP of Ojai.

HELP of Ojai offers many planned giving opportunities, all of which can be tailored to meet your specific financial and estate-planning needs. A planned gift offers many advantages, including the opportunity to:

  • Increase current income to yourself and/or your spouse or family.
  • Convert low-yielding or non-income producing assets into lifelong income.
  • Reduce or eliminate capital gains costs and/or estate tax liability.
  • Achieve a significant income tax reduction.
  • Leave a legacy of lifelong service.

By planning now, you may be able to enjoy a significant charitable income tax deduction for the current tax year. Using appreciated securities to fund a planned gift offers capital gains tax savings and may also help you reduce your estate tax liability.

There are many ways to give, from a bequest in your will to a Charitable Gift Annuity. For additional information about membership in the HELP of Ojai’s Legacy Society and how a planned gift can help you and your family’s financial and estate plans, contact
