Program Successes

In 2022, our Community Assistance Program (CAP) was busier than ever. The food pantry operating at Montgomery Street, served up to 80 people every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. We found great success reaching more clients each month by opening the CAP office the last Saturday. We also had many favorable outcomes in helping clients obtain various types of housing vouchers. Through the Emergency Housing Voucher program, we helped house 25 people.

Our Senior Programs reopened and are in full swing. Senior Programs include the Senior Nutrition Program (congregate and home delivered meals), as well as the Transportation, and Activities Programs. The Transportation Program saw a 66% increase in riders. Most of our activities are at capacity and we are continuing to find new partners to offer a wider variety of activities. Congregate meals are being served after reopening, with an average of 15 people coming in per day for a meal and community.

Again, we could not do this important work without you! Whether we are helping a family transition to a new home or helping a senior through the transitions of aging, your financial contribution allows HELP of Ojai to support fellow community members.

In 2023, we ask that you donate to help us continue the tradition of serving the Ojai Valley. We continue to have a strong Balance Sheet and strong partnerships with many agencies and individuals working to create a healthy Ojai Valley community. We hope you will be a partner with us, too.
