COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (CAP)
The Community Assistance Program (CAP) provides basic needs and case management services for low income and unsheltered residents of the Ojai Valley.
We offer a range of services to Ojai residents, housed or not.
Fresh food is distributed from our Montgomery Street location two days a week: Monday and Wednesday mornings, from 9:30am-11:30pm.

Low Income Services for the Ojai Valley

Food Pantry
We distribute fresh food from our Montgomery Street location three days a week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning from 9am-12pm. Nonperishable food boxes are available to registered clients and delivery can be arranged. We distribute hygiene items as available.

Medical Support
HELP manages a grant to support community members with medical bills. Referrals can be made for no/low-cost vision and dental services.

Utility Assistance
In partnership with Community Action of Ventura County, clients can apply for up to $350 in credit towards their gas or electric bill. Water bill support is also available.

Homeless Services
HELP of Ojai is a member of the Ventura Continuum of Care. Our Case Managers utilize the Homeless Management Information System to connect unsheltered community members with resources both locally and throughout Ventura County.

Housing Assistance
Case Managers are available to discuss options with those at risk of losing housing or facing homelessness

The CAP office is a sensitive, resourceful team of staff and volunteers working together for you. Whitney and Stacy will ensure that you receive the aid you need if it’s within the scope of the Community Assistance Program.

Director of Homeless Services
Whitney began working for HELP of Ojai in 2014. She has served as a Case Manager throughout her time with the organization and specializes in supporting unsheltered community members. She can be reached by telephone at (805)640-3320.

Bilingual Case Manager
Alicia Rodriguez is our newest team member and brings with her a strong background in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She works primarily with older adults and is the point of contact for food related programs. She is bilingual in English and Spanish. She can be reached at 805-640-3320 x 303.
